This forum clearly needs scanlating subforum. I have been thinking about making an actual guide. Lazy Scanlator Guide. As for some reason, suprising amount of people have asked help from me for editing tips. And all I have this moment is this old post I made for arc1angel2: http://kickthekitty.wordpress.com/2009/09/25/arc1angel2-vs-kickthekitty-miniforum/ . I need something new and more refined. It would include basics of scanning, automating, cropping, leveling, resize, saving, filters, programs, and typesetting from LQ scans to raws. For the last one I finished a draft. It still needs better example page, and rewrite. http://kickthekitty.ucoz.com/blog/lazy_scanlator_guide_typesetting/2010-04-15-8. . . I started doing the basic editing part. Actions is ready. http://kickthekitty.ucoz.com/blog/lazy_scanlator_guide_action_and_automating/2010-08-06-22I'm not happy with crop. http://kickthekitty.ucoz.com/blog/lazy_scanlator_guide_some_stuff_draft/2010-07-29-21Next will be levels.

OHHH! Thanks! I would have loved to have something like this around when I first started. I guess it is still not too learn how to! My scans would be soo much quicker to do! BWWAAAH BWWAHAH! Ahem...thanks! I love quality, but I am lazy too! Now if the raws were in better quality....On side note, that kitty was cute! I want to hug to death!!

Hmmm...I think this tutorial is a lot better than previous tutorial! The images along with the instructions are more detail and easier to understand! I never realize that there were so many short cuts and functions before. I would have actually saved it as two different pages and then put it together in layers (after rotating one images by itself). Then I would just cloned the missing layer in after leveling the whole thing...I would have definitely wasted so much more time... Your method seems so much quicker! Thank you!! I definitely will be bookmarking your webpage! It has a lot useful and helpful advice!
