The Boys by Garth Ennis

In main stream comics it is tough to say because quality fluctuates from book to book. I am liking Thor, and Secret Six, and Booster Gold.

Y: The Last Man. Just about every chapter ends on a cliffhanger.

Trying for something a little different, I'm nominating Nikolai Dante, from the pages of 2000ad. Sci-fi swashbuckling action/adventure, plenty of laughs, drama and a solid plot.

The Walking Dead.

It gets darker and darker, and better and better.  Kirkman is a genius.
