As there's the info to back it up, I'd side more with Loulan. But to be honest, I'm so used to seeing it as Rouran that it has a better ring to it for me, lol! Besides, whenever I imagine the terms, I imagine them spoken in Japanese, and since Japanese pronunciation equates 'l' sounds to 'r' sounds, it makes more verbal sense to go with that pronunciation, even if its spelt or more correctly known as Loulan.  |

Well thanks to that information we can say it's Loulan... But, I'm use to Rouran because in the spanish translation of the anime, they used "Rouran". So, I prefer Rouran  ... But really! Thanks for the research!   |

I think it was a setup. It is obviously Loulan, but the author plays with the R-L inexistence in japanase and screws with us saiying they were nomads. Superb documentation

I think it's Loulan. The Japanese do interchange the "R" and the "L" sounds. I've heard some of them say "Rorripop" (yes, they were referring to the candy).
