With several other anime series out there, what is it about the Get Backers that drew you in? Is it the story? Is it the characters? Is it the character's interaction among one another? Is it the action? Is it the comedy? Is it Ban? (oh, wait... that would be me ) For me it was all of the above, but one other thing that I really liked was how they incorporated real objects into their stories, such as the Stradivarius, Van Gogh's Sunflowers, Venus de Milo, Kingdom of Loulan, etc... It spoke to the inner geek in me and made me want to know more about these things. What about you, guys?

It was Ginji for me. What drew me in first and foremost was that I was looking for more anime that featured a particular Japanese voice actor -- the fellow who does Ginji's voice, to be specific. After about half an episode, I was hooked on the show itself. Aside from the voice work, I liked the humor and the character interaction and bonding. I was also very much impressed by the pathos of the characters who were all in one way or another exiled from places where they used to be but had to leave -- and yet they couldn't turn away from those places because they were important in some way to them. I really, really love the different personas of Ginji -- sweet and friendly and kind to everyone Ginji, silly chibi Ginji, and fierce Raitei. Yep, it was Ginji that did it!

Ahh, yes. I thought the voice actors for GB were great! I didn't pay attention to voice actors before I got hooked on GB.

Wel.. One thing that I've liked on GB is the unfamiliar powers that they possess like the Jagan of Ban, the Raitei form of Ginji, the Strings of Kazuki and etc.. Don't you?
