I think I am across the anime from looking for something to watch and it was on the Anime on Demand channel on my cable. I figured I might as well. And I ended up really liking it.

Me I hade a real anime period a while back and I swallowed anything I could get my hands on. Found GB and just got hocked on it really. Haven't watched it for a while but now I'm back and now it's the manga I'm trying to get my dirty palms at haha.

Getbackers was introduced to me through anime planet's recommendation website (you know the one, you type in an anime you enjoy, and it gives you a user-generated list of similar titles you may enjoy.) I was searching at the time for anime similar to Trigun, and Getbackers showed up. The description didn't say anything about the characters having "powers" so that was a surprise. The fascinating concept of an underground retrieval service with a close to 99% success rate was enough to hook me!

Saw it when animax was first telecasted in my region. The first Episode I saw was GinjixAkabane and after seeing an epic fight like that I was completely hooked.
