This isn't a problem, but I wasn't sure where else to post my question.

I am uncertain as to the meaning/purpose of karma.  I searched through HELP for some guidance but didn't find what I was looking for.  I'm just curious what it is all about and what I should be doing with it, if anything.

The karma is basically this forums version of a reputation system. If you see someone make a good post, you can add karma to a person by pressing [applaud], while if you see someone make a bad post, you can delete some of their karma by clicking [smite].
