Since I was a child that I had lots of dogs and cats, which is also the reason that I've got a lot of bite marks, lol. Now, I've a 5 years old dog that is a mixture of pitbull with a retriever. She is really smart and understands most of what we say to her, which is a reason to some good laughes. There was even this time, at lunch, that I said as a joke to her that we would pick up my younger brother at school. When it was about 5PM, she started barking at me and pointing with her nose to the street door and it was usually at that hour that I went to pick up my brother. She never asked to take a walk, so it was quite funny to see her doing that at that exact time.

I also have a cat called Palhaço (clown in Portuguese), but he is more attached to my mother. He runs away from me, lol.

Currently have 2 cats. Lola and Merlin. They are black, oriental mix, with golden green eyes. Brother and sister, I adopted them from the SPCA. There was a lady there (twice my age at the time, accompanied by a small child) who was trying to adopt only the sister and split them up. I convinced her otherwise.

Oriental cats are vocal, but mine don't have piercing voices like siamese do. They talk/sing all the time, and prance instead of run, and are spoiled with expensive commercial raw food, catnip, toys galore, grooming brushes....

I'm allergic to cats, but because I have lived with them ever since I was a child, I have a built-up resistance to them. Opening windows, air filters, wood floors and frequent washing of bedding is all I need!

I used to have a bunch of fish... They all died...

I used to have a dog, but it was kind of... what's the word I'm looking for... rabid? Not really... It wasn't exactly the obedient type, so we gave it away....

I had a cat (it was a stray kitten we found in the garage.) When it grew older it ran away...

My pets never last (tho my mom plans to get a new dog sometime)

When I was growing up, we couldn't have pets because we were all allergic to them -- but we did have hamsters for awhile, as well as laboratory mice and rats.  We also kept various snakes!  I remember with fondness our boa constrictor, named BC.   Cheesy  In case you are wondering, my dad was an 8th grade science teacher, so our pets tended be of the type that got used in science class!

Ooooh! I always wanted to have a snake! Sad
We have a pet bird, which my younger brother got for Christmas last year, but I want to free him because it's from the wild and I feel so sorry for it for being caged. My brother won't let me tho Sad
