Thank you very much, Midou, for your excellent FAQ and analysis. I feel like it's given me a new perspective on the anime, which I always felt was a poor reflection of the manga. I now realise that there is a lot more to it than I have been giving it credit for.
Interesting info about the change in animation for the DVD. One of the gripes I had with the anime was that the running was extremely poorly animated, and many scenes were just mouths moving and nothing else (although I realise that it is often due to budget restrictions.)
And kudos for taking the time to reply to members posts so often.
