True Blood!
It is soap-opera-ish but has some really good scenes.
and it's all blood & violence xD

community is quite good. you need to watch a couple of episodes before you really get into it, but the later episodes are definitely better than the first couple of episodes

Wow! I almost watch 80% what everyone recommend. I just surprised that no one mentioned Castle. I think that series is funny and interesting. I love the dynamic between the two main characters! Grin

Can't believe that no-ones recommended How I Met Your Mother, great show. Apart from that I'd recommend Stargate Universe and Doctor Who.

I would add NCIS, Criminal Minds, Lost, Burn Notice, V (2009 Series), Heroes, The Legend of the Seeker on running series. Series that had ended I recomend Firefly, Battlestar Galactica (2004), Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1 and Stargate: Atlantis.

There are quite a few I could list as recommended, but I'm going to stick with one for now -- Star Trek Deep Space Nine.  This Star Trek series seems to always come last on the list of Star Treks people prefer, but for me, it is my ultimate favorite.  It's different from the others in that it's not a new adventure every week, and the main characters don't always get along -- yet they find a way to still work together from week to week.  All 7 seasons are one long story that fits together well -- try watching a number of episodes back to back in order and you'll see what I mean.
