Try One piece or Hajime no Ippo over 900 of good fights and funny moments
+1000

Two of my favourite mangas. I can also recommend Soul Eater, Fairy Tail and Psyren.

If you like GB's genre, you'll most likely like Wild Adapter too, though it has a more serious atmosphere than GB. It's from the author of Saiyuki, Kazuya Minekura. If you want something crazier and funnier, go for Gintama. It's a really good series lol.

Of course there's the big three... there's also Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Fairy Tail (which I really rec!), D.Gray-Man, Prince of Tennis, Tenjou Tenge (THIS you must at least try).

There are also some mangas lately that are borderline between shoujo and shonen, like Pandora Hearts and 07-Ghost. Both are really great and has a very intricate plot. I highly recommend them both.

I agree with a lot of my predecessors about their choices! Mine woud be: Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Wild Adapter and a little more gloomy would be Hellsing and Blood the Last Vampire 2000.

Have fun Smiley

Dammit, Tenjho Tenge, Gantz and 20th century boys was already taken Tongue

Well in that case, definitely death note, battle angel alita, one piece and GTO

Agree with HSDK.

The series focus' more on real human ability and less of complete fantasy powers (though there still is a lot of crap that would be physically impossible). It's got a good balance of comedy, slight romance and action.

for these who like psychological: lolipop or a bullet -- its not very famous, but its really good. The characters are very real in every way and, while the story is very sad, its not to far fetched
