Swedish songs, or anything Nordic since they sort of sound alike. I don't know why, but I like listening to it, esp Viking rock. I like Hel the best.
There's also Alexander Rybak, though he sings mostly in English.

No, Nordic as in the language. Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic or even Danish. But I only have Norwegian and Swedish here, and maybe even Icelandic, but I'm not quite sure.
I can't handle death metal, sadly. I prefer symphonic rock/metal, since my ears are too accustomed to classical and neoclassical.

nice, i don't like death metal i don't even like heavy metall in general i only listened a few Dream Theater songs, or the brasilian band Angra, and maybe some of Sonata Artica but i mostly listened 60's 70's and 80's rock bands, like pink floyd, led zeppelin, queen, etc

Well, im from argentina too but i'll tell what international music I hear. Let's see international bands now in my mp3: poets of the fall (kinda progresive rock i would have to say, um shame that progresive rock is like almost everything =P), queen (I have at least 1 queen song on my music player, ALWAYS), the beatles (including john lennon on his own), david bowie, la vela puerca (from uruguay), 2 songs from agarrate catalina (a kinda comedy uruguayian murga),some ost of games and animes and a couple from daft punk. The rest is mostly national rock (there's no much after those anyway) 30 songs or so.

Protest Song (to Silvio)
He fell mortally wounded from a slash to his guitar But had enough time to get his best song from it’s cover And shot his assassin with it Who momentarily seemed shocked Taking his fingers to the ears And screaming For someone to turn off the lights

hmm Emilie Simon (France) and Anggun (Indonesia) and Candy Dulfer (Netherlands) are what I listened to in the last weeks. There aren't really favorites since my mood and tast changes every so often
