1  The Honky Tonk Lounge / General Manga Discussion / Limit by Keiko Suenobu on: August 13, 2011, 03:11:25 am
Hi,

Does anyone have scans for chapters 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18 & 19 of Keiko Suenobu's Limit? They have been scanslated and released but I can't find them anywhere!

Thanks,

A.

I just finished Master of Martial Hearts. It was a classic! It had everything; humour, violence, tongue in cheek smut, an absolute must for all!!!

Try the films of Alejandro  Joderowsky!

The "Holy Mountain"  is a great starting point.

Thanks for the info. The site excited me and does act as a good teaser source for the great translations to come.

6  The Honky Tonk Lounge / Getbackers Manga Discussion / English translation for all volumes on: June 30, 2011, 11:40:11 am
Is anyone else aware of this site that has the English translation for all volumes?

http://getbackersrespsect.wikispaces.com/

It's not edited onto the page scans themselves but done as a sort of script.

I got the whole series box set a long while ago and haven't stopped talking about it since!

It's intelligent, humorous, violent and in many ways pretty unique.

WATCH IT!!!

The Manga is great too.

Yeah, the guy even said that too much money had been invested to recall the first run !

Did anyone else have Disc problems with the UK release of "Confessions of a Dog"?

There were major compatibility issues with  certain brands of players and I got a string of replacement Discs that were all faulty. I contacted the releasing company and the head sent me a DVD-R copy of the reworked release they planned to offer after the initial, limited run of 1000 discs had depleted.
11  The Honky Tonk Lounge / General Manga Discussion / Re: Best fight scenes of all the manga books... on: June 26, 2011, 02:07:58 am
There are a lot of great fight scenes to list.  As a huge GTO fan I have to mention all of the great moments in  shonan junai gumi, real boiling point, climactic teen violence. Crows and Worst follow this line of conflict too.

As usual over the top where you think, "he'd be dead after a beating like that not fighting again next day!".

GTO

Shonan 14 Days

Shonan Junai Gumi

Bad Company

I love GTO! Shonan Junai Gumi was dropped by Tokyopop with a lot of volumes to go (11) untranslated. But finally they are being released, or started to be released in February next year! Two books per volume. The same company is also begining to translate and release Shonan 14 Days in January next year.

Definitely genre and quality of artwork.

Which version/source is the best for quality and translation though? Some are atrocious.

It's a great drawing, great concept. Definitely leave it as it is, colour is not needed.
