Being a total newbie, I only had opportunity to post once over at the old place -- but I had explored it a tiny bit before joining, so I can say with some small bit of authority that I like the new forums very much!  They are very nice-looking and easy to use.

Getting in on the move early is nice for me, too, in that I can get to  know people as they arrive, rather than trying to play catch up in an established place.

It's been nice having GB licensed in the US, but that stopped just as the story was getting really interesting -- so I'm here for much the same reasons as you, to find more GB in English!  I am really thinking about learning Japanese -- I have a bit of a knack for learning foreign languages, and after listening to Japanese in subbed anime for a couple of years, I think I'm actually beginning to understand a bit!  Learning the reading of it, however, might be a bit much.

Adding to that introduction, I'm new in the sense that I am a newcomer to this site and forum -- and I'm "old" because I expect I am a lot older than many at the anime/manga sites I frequent!

But age really has no bearing on whether one loves anime and manga, does it? My son got me thoroughly hooked on anime about six years ago, and it didn't take me long to move on to reading manga.  My husband thinks we are both crazy, but my son and I care not; we love being anime fanatics! Our favorite thing to do when we get together for a visit is to have anime marathons and discuss recent manga chapters.

Get Backers was my first "solo" anime -- i.e., I watched it on my own without my son's input -- and that was the beginning of that.     I don't expect my GB love to end anytime soon, either.

I'm looking forward to exploring this new new place!

I'm glad you have introduced yourself, sounds like we have some things in common -- the addiction to anime/manga and not wanting to let on about our age!   

        My personal goal  is to finish off Getbackers, hopefully within three years! If you don't know it already, I am editor of this group!

If I knew any Japanese at all, I would so be doing fun work like that!
