1  The Honky Tonk Lounge / General Manga Discussion / Re: List of Reccomend Manga on: August 13, 2010, 10:09:21 pm
Something not in the list:
20th Century Boys
Cromatie High School
Beelzebub --> Hilarious
2  The Honky Tonk Lounge / General Manga Discussion / Re: Suggestions for good mangas to read on: August 13, 2010, 10:07:47 pm
You must read One Piece. Here's why:
You get suck into its world. When you read you can feel that you are in the world of One Piece. Just like our real world where events are happening every single second in all places, in the world of One Piece too each crew, marines are doing their own thing in different parts of One Piece. You get snippets of what is happening with each crew, character and world event. It's not entirely focused on the main characters. It is a story about the world of One Piece, not Luffy.

One of the dumbest, funniest manga:
Cromatie High School

Less Dumb, but still funny:
Beelzebub (quite new)

Shounen/Fighting Mangas:
Zatch Bell (Finished)
Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Other Favorites:
20th Century Boys (Thriller/Mystery)

I would stay away from Bleach. Why? People are gonna flame me but it basically has no creative storyline. It is just ichigo strong, meet stronger enemy, ichigo gets stronger or new power, defeat enemy, stronger enemy comes, ichigo gets stronger/new power, defeat enemy....
3  The Honky Tonk Lounge / General Manga Discussion / Re: Fullmetal Alchemist... on: August 13, 2010, 10:01:05 pm
This is one of the best shounen mangas I've read. The theme of kinship(not just friendship like all those other mangas), sacrifice, selflessness, and dreams really got to me. The ending.... Good ending is all I can say. Nothing mind blowing but still.. a great manga to read nonetheless.
4  The Honky Tonk Lounge / General Manga Discussion / Re: Gene Simmons' Son Plagiarizing Bleach on: August 13, 2010, 09:58:56 pm
It's so obvious that he ripoff Bleach. Can't he at least change it a bit?

Read the comics before going to the movie. Kinda like the comic's ending more though.

But the movie was awesome! EPIC!

9  Interests and Hobbies / Games / Re: Pokemon on: August 13, 2010, 09:51:30 pm
Love pokemon. Classic game. Still remember Red, Yellow and Green back in the days. Nowadays, with so many large scale graphical RPGs coming out like Dragon Age Origins, Fallout 3, it's kinda refreshing to see Pokemon and its cute and simple design.
10  Interests and Hobbies / Games / Re: Super Street Fighter 4 on: August 13, 2010, 09:49:52 pm
A bit off topic here. Just saw Tekken the movie and it was not bad. Don't go in and expect any storyline or character development. Enjoy the fights and the classic characters coming to life.

Regarding Street Fighter 4 the game, meh.. it was okay at best. The graphics are different and cool, but the gameplay kinda slows down a bit.
11  Interests and Hobbies / Games / Re: Games you wanna recommend to your friends etc. on: August 13, 2010, 09:47:32 pm
I would totally recommend Saints Row 2, PURE ENTERTAINMENT! It's kinda like GTA 4 but more light hearted and far-fetched. And WORMS. WORMS RELOADED is coming out too. STAY TUNED!!
12  Interests and Hobbies / Games / Re: Classic games you played when you were little. on: August 13, 2010, 09:46:23 pm
First game I played was on DOS. Tons of racing games during those times. Jump a few years ahead, Pokemon. Heart of Darkness too if anyone knows it (side scroller action puzzle game). And Megaman X4.
13  Interests and Hobbies / Games / Re: All time favoutite games on: August 13, 2010, 09:44:50 pm
Assassin Creed 1/2, Saints Row 2, and Bioshock. I know, all recent games but I love them!
14  The Honky Tonk Lounge / Comics / Re: the greatest comic books ever! on: August 13, 2010, 09:43:12 pm
Invincible is a light hearted and entertaining read.
