Ive already put out recruitment requests on mangahelpers and narutoforums.com. Anyone have any ideas as to where else to look?

This post is to give you some idea of what the different jobs entail, which jobs you can currently apply for and how you can apply.

At the moment you can apply for the following positions:

      Image Translator
      Image Cleaner
      Image Typesetter
      Image Editor

Job Descriptions:

Translator:

We mostly need Japanese to English translators. In order to apply for this job, you have to be proficient in both Japanese and English.

Cleaners:

Cleaners are in charge of rotating, cropping, resizing, and getting rid of all the Japanese text. Experience isn't required, but you have to know how to use Photoshop.

Typesetters:

Typesetters are in charge of typing the English text on the cleaned scans.

Editors:

This is someone who is both a cleaner and a typesetter.


How to apply:

Your application should include the following things:

- Put the name of the job you are applying for and your own name in the subject.
- Show us some of your previous work that has do do with the position that you want. If your translator, show us some of your past translations. If your an editor, show us some of the manga you have cleaned and typesetted. If you want to be a cleaner, show us some of the manga scans that you have cleaned, and if your a typesetter, show us some of your typesetting skills.

I read part of the manga a while back, but stopped when I realized that nobody was releasing new scans. In my opinion, it's better than the anime. The anime was good, but I didn't like the anime-original ending.

Since scanlation Holy Talker did not work out, due to the editor that said she was going to scan for us dropping out and scans being hard to find, Ive decided that it may be easier to pick another manga to scan.

After a bit of searching, I found out that one of my favorite anime of all time had a manga counterpart, which is completely different about halfway through the story. That manga is Tokyo Underground, a manga that started serialization in 1998, and was being scanned for a long time, but stopped suddenly for some reason. The last scanlation was v.8 c.43 by Freelancer & Wangan Scans about 2 years ago. If possible, I'd like our group to start where they left off, and continue this manga.

If anyone is interested in scanning this manga, please let me know through the Private Message system on this forum. I don't want to overload Shisui and Somehow_here with another project, so I'd like to get one extra translator and editor to help with this project.

Bumping this since the second season is now out. The first two episodes of season 2 were awesome to say the least.

Thanks. The stripes are actually my favorite part. I saw other people using the stripes and kind of copied their idea.

That one is also my favorite. My friend actually called the stock way before I could, but being the good sport that I am, I offered to turn it into a set for him.

Also, My original name was ~Greed~, But I changed it to Vent the North soon after. My name on the original forum as ~Greed~ as well.

You basically get access to the releases section once you get 15 posts. Not much else lol. But the releases section is a good place to get our scans.
