As he Title says, who's your fav Character?
I think I covered most of the characters here, so I think there won't be any complaints of their fav character missing from the polls.

AKABANE of course! has been my #1 character already 5 years!
His past is awesome (and sad...) and he's mysterious, hot and Kind (to ginji..and he has a reason for it but i don't wanna spoil you guys ;D) and i like his character. So twisted, smart and ahdsahasdihasdihsd *dreaming*
and i have a doctor fetish so that tells a lot!

But I also like:
Kagami 'cause i like his attitude and he idolize Akabane, that's why.
Ban he's badass and has a cool past and i love his character!
Ginji adorable, cute so freaking nice to all and badass too ^^ and i love the way how he idolizes Ban!

Yeah, Ban is pretty cool! It was hard toss up between Ban and Ginji...so I decide to choose by coin toss! I almost chosen monkey...because it was funniest choice!  ;D

Ginji, of course! He's been my favorite since the beginning of my journey with the GetBackers.  Whether he is being sweet, cute, silly, or serious, he's the guy for me!   ;D

Shido's ability is cool and useful!! Tough choice since all of them are so likeable...still ban and ginji are the funniest!

I voted for Ban, but I also like Kagami and Akabane a lot.

Ban has a mysterious and interesting past, is a fighting genius and is very knowledgeable...kinda like Batman, haha.

Akabane is definitely the man! His action and mysterious factor provides great entertainment

I'm a Ginji fan.  He's kind, adorable, funny, and yet also totally badass.  It's an awesome combination. 
I love Ban too though.  I forget sometimes because my love of Ginji eclipses my love of everyone else, but he's a close second.
Akabane's in third place for me.  He scares the hell out of me, and yet I can't stop giggling whenever he shows up.

Ban hands down is my favorite!  Like the way he fights, and how his intelligence shows when he fights.  Next up I would say Kazuki because his fighting style is unique (strings) which I found interesting when I first watched it.

Having to choose between Ban and Ginji was one of the hardest decisions of my life, LoL. But in the end I picked Ginji.

Argh! Maybe I should have picked Ban! I dunno. Well it's done already.

Ban is just too awesome to describe. Like there aren't any words that can express just how awesome he is.

And Ginji is so beautiful and awe inspiring. He's definitely someone Id want as my best friend. And the way he views the world I think is amazing for what he's been through. He has so much heart. If I could be like any anime character I've ever seen Ginji  and Naruto would probably tie for first place.

Count me in the horde of devoted Ban-chan followers. He pretty much had me seduced five seconds into the first episode of the anime. There’s no doubt that he is a whiny, sneaky, arrogant, mean, perverted jerkass… but at the same time also the coolest, most badass of fighting geniuses, not to mention a reliable, unselfish, cuddly MEGA DORK! :D Though you’ll probably never experience that last part unless your name is Ginji. It’s quite understandable that he turned out as twisted as he is, with that sad backstory of his. It’s BAAAAAAAAAW-worthy to boot. Ban-chan…  :'(
Oh, and he is sexy too.  ;)

Very closely following Ban is... Ginji. Always sweet, cheerful and bouncy, but yet so charming and charismatic that you can't help falling head over heels for him (even if you're one of the enemy!). He's pure and open and can always make you smile even if everything seems hopeless. BUT! This doesn't mean he's a dense, innocent whimp. No, he knows when to get serious and can be just as badass as Ban ever is. He's a born fighter, and it shows. Ginji-kun, aaah~

Those two are just amazing. BUUUUUUT there are some others whom have definitely grown close to my heart as well...

Emishi - I liked him from the get-go he showed up. I just think he's charming with his well-balanced contrast between wanting to make people laugh.... and being super badass with his smexy whip. Also, DON'T PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE FUTON!!!
Maria - Another character I liked from the moment she was introduced. Again, I like how she in one moment is cheerful and passionate, and the next time dark and strict. And you've GOT to love her for taking care of Ban-chan when he was a little kiddo. Maria-mama! Her design is gorgeous too, I can TOTALLY understand that the artist thinks she's a fun character to draw.
Paul - He's one of those characters I sometimes forget just how much I really like. Somehow, his wisdom and knowledge always gave me the impression of being much more than just a middle-aged guy with a coffee shop. And according to the latest chapters... BOY, was I right.  :P
Yukihiko - Polite and cautious, friendly but deadly. A sweet boy and a badass mercenary. Damn, he hasn't showed up for hundreds of chapters, but my impression of him has not faded the least, and my stance on him as one of my favourite characters stands firm. I'm praying for the day he shows up again, if that ever happens. I'm waiting for you, Yukihiko-kuuuun!

But in all honesty, the whole cast of Get Backers is one of the best I have ever seen. Everyone's likeable in their own way and has dozens of skeletons in their closets that makes you want to know more about them. Awesome.

 I voted for Ban cause I love him. How can you not love a guy who finds a witty come back or nickname for everyone he meets like "Cockabane". But its kind of sad some many characters are getting zero hits. I mean Emishi is awesome. Kazuki and Jubei have intense relationship. But I"m glad Shido got at least one vote cuz he's probably a close second.

True that. With a likeable cast of well-developed characters like Get Backers, it's borderline sadistic to make you vote for only ONE solo character. It also doesn't show very well that there are fandoms even for the side characters. I wanted to see Paul with at least ONE vote....

I guess you're right. This is far one sided. Maybe we need to have separate poll for other characters. Emishi is a fun character and Juubei is cool, a samurai who's duty is to protect his master, in this case the Juubei protecting his master Kazuki. Anyway.. i hope the monkeys get a vote. lol I really loved them outsmarting Ban Ginji and Shido.

I'm so boring--I like Ginji the best. I always thought he was adorable, both in appearance and personality. And the way he says, "BAN-CHAN~!" just melts my heart. Plus, I'm a sucker for sob-stories and 'split personalities', soooo.

Ginji is one of the best comic relief characters I have ever seen. I did like him most when he is teaming up with Akabane.

Akabane is first...and some of the comments make me wish I could really read Japanese instead of dictionary-translating!

Then, Kazuki is second, followed by Ban and Ginji and Clayman.

I will totally admit to watching the anime in the first place because my favorite seiyu of all times voices Clayman...I am shameless... :D

Excellent!  Someone else who started watching the anime for the seiyuu!   ;D  I shamelessly admit that I started watching the anime because Ginji's voice actor is my all time favorite!  And thus, of course, he is my favorite GB character.

Count me in! I decided to give Get Backers a try simply because I happen to be a total Canna Nobutoshi (Ban's seiyuu) fangirl. I have fangirled him since I was 14, and it was actually thanks to him that I became interested in voice acting in general. So he owes me a lot!
By watching Get Backers, I'd FINALLY get to hear him vocing a main character, instead of a side character, so now I'm guaranteed to hear his sexy voice no matter what episode of Get Backers I watch~

(Though honestly, I'm quite sure I'd fallen for Ban nonetheless of his seiyuu being a favourite of mine or not.  ;) )

hCollen: You're a fan of Ogata Megumi too? HHHHHHHHHH she's so lovely and amazing!  :-*  :-*  :-* Easily among my top 3 seiyuu, along with Canna Nobutoshi and Suwabe Junichi. ;D

I VOTE 4 GINJI!!!!!!!! I LOVE HIS LIGHTNING EMPEROR MODE!!!!!!... But its pretty hard to chose between the three characters, ban,ginji,akabane...lol monkeys ;D

I was really torn between two char's Akabane and Kagami... but I'm leaning more towards kagami~!! :P I love his fighting style , his mysterious background, laidback personality  and his ability to escape when the going gets tough  :D ( Okay so I was joking about the last one but still....  :3 ). Sadly so far nobody has voted for him T.T but then again he got sooo little screen time in the anime >.<

LOl i have to agree akabane is awesome. i havent figured out why he is so nice to ginji though. maybe thats explained later. i think i like him so much because he is hard to figure out.

Akabane is cool and all, but Ban is definitely the best. There seems to be so much that he's hiding. Can't wait to progress in the series to find out more about him.

So very much a fan of hers, yes.  Fell in love with her voice in YYH and started finding other things she was in and her music.  My friends tease me about it mercilessly :D

definitely amano ginji!! he is sooo cute in his chibi mode and i think that his idiocy (sorry gin chan :D) makes him adorable. second is ban definitely for his kickass coolness XD

Ban-chan of course!!! Usually I'm pretty fickle and move from one to another but it was Ban from the first moment I saw him (so..volume 1..lol..). He's had a hard life, from the brief glimpses of the past we've seen, and he still pretends like its nothing. He shoulders all the hardships to protect everyone else (Ginji, Himiko) and yet pretends to be all cold and mean..sigh silly Ban!!! I don't understand why so many of the other characters hate him so much....well he does like to insult people.. ;) lol...

Definitely Ban, since he fits the mold of characters I typically enjoy.

normally I would have picked Akabane, but I like Makubex no less than Akabane, and he's got the awesome Saiga Mitsuki as his seiyuu  8)

Akabane was my favourite character. Nobuo Tobita does an awesome job and it gives me chills every time I hear him voice Akabane.

Ban was the badass and cool dude of the series

I like Ban. He's mature yet babyish. He's cool and dorky. He's evil and yet nice. He has some interesting history to him. He has cool fighting techniques. He's smart and stupid all at once. He's arrogant and what else can I say, he's the best! lolz His has an interesting bloodline and has family issues. Ban is the character I can most relate to, lolz.

is it just me or are the female characters in GB way way better than those in more popular series like bleach naruto db etc???

Akabane is my number one fav for several years, ever since I watched the anime. He's mysterious, strong and so damn polite! Besides, in the anime his voice is awesome, couldn't be better. In mix with his utter politeness it's just something else.

Actually yes, I get the same feeling that the main girls are somewhat different and not completely stereotypic. I liked Hevn right away, Himiko took a bit longer, but I like her as well.

Akabane: I LOVE good looking creepy mysterious undefeatable questionable ally/badguys. They're my instafavorite in any series. I've compared him to Hunter x Hunter's Hisoka. He also has complete control of his temper & takes everything with a grain of salt & shrugs it off with a laugh. I'd also like to point out that his ass is huge. This is a complete mystery to me.

Kadzuki: Fanservice: I dig effeminate guys with long hair. He's so cute when he's angsting. I'm super-pissed about his new haircut.  >:( But he looks good with that stigma. His ass is also huge. lol. & I'm thankful that Rando does not draw him with nasty Rob Liefeld thighs like he does with Ban & Ginji.

Himiko: She's the opposite of those frilly femme saccharine sweet maidens in shoujo & herem mangas. She can take care of herself & fight. I just wish she was more of a bitch..& a redhead.  & I was really disappointed when she didn't put up much of a fight-to-the-end to deny her unwanted destiny.

I went with Ban. Something about him just wins with me. Although usually I would like character like Akabane, for some reason I just can't in this series. I also like Kazuki too ans well as a few of the i guess more minor roles (well not sure how minor they are since I havent caught up with the manga yet....)

i like all of he characters, but my favorite its Ban mido its one of the my favorites characters of the all world of the anime and games.

Well i think makubex is really cool becouse he dont need to be strong as the other characters for doing some really cool things, aside that i belive GB has a lot ¨badass¨, maybe too many...

I love Natsuhiko's character and his design. He's one of the few people that we able to get the drop on Ban Mido...

I like Ginji, he's fun, but Ban's powers and intelligence are just so awesome.

I voted Ban, even though he haxx. I do really like a vast majority of the cast, though. I just really like Ban's laid back personality. I feel like I can relate to him the most, I suppose.

Ginji is like a little kid... Maybe that's why I like his character very much.....

I'm a helpless Ban-chaaan fangirl, hehe. He's just such a jerk to everyone, and arrogant, and rude, and a pervy and all that, but deep down he's just the most kind and selfless person (well, at least when it comes to ginji, which just adds up in the cute factor!) in the entire get backers universe. And he has a very sexy attitude and character desing, which is never a bad thing, hehe

My favourite is Ginji, he's so cute and acts just like a kid sometimes. I also love when he becomes raitei he is just awesome

Can't really choose just one. I'd say both Ban-chan and Ginji-kun cuz the pair just make the series more fun and complete.

Didn't know where to post this so i'll post it here. In feudalism, "ban" meant "power" it was the power of "jurisdiction", the power to govern the feud, extract rent from the "farmers" (i don't think this is the correct english word for "campesinos", 'cos "farmers" are like rich in the feudalism academic texts and "campesinos" were mostly poor), monopolize the ovens, the mills, the pidgeons (yes, the pidgeons. seems pidgeons were a simbol of status for the nobilary class) among other things.
I was kinda bored in class and my mind started to drive off, and they were talking about the "ban" and that it meant "power" (not sure in what language though) and I related it to ban-chan so i thought i have to let the world know that ban means power, then i realized that none of my friends would care, so I had to post it here. And this was a way not to feel bad while i escape studiyng.

That's really interesting!  I love knowing where words came from and what they mean (it's part of my interest in other languages).  It somehow seems fitting that Ban-chan can be related to that word in this way!   :D

I would have to say my favourite character is Ban by far, especially with his new arm.

Before i posted something about "ban" and continuing with that fun fact name kinda thing i bring you what i found about "amon"
During the XVIII dinasty in egipt (thats between 1539 and 1292 b.c of course) there was a really powerful pharaoh called Ahmosis, it turns out that ahmosis was really hyped and conquered a lot of things like the nubian civilization of Kerma, kept the borders in asia and africa and dealt with the inner civil oposition (specially low and medium egipt). Anyway it turns out the wife of ahmosis, Nefertary, was really important, helped him to gobern and was like a celebrity, she was so popular and important that she became an object of cult and was the first woman of all Egipt to be "the wife of  god" and that god is amon.
So it's something like ahmosis is amon (i came to this conclusion while writing this post that's why I talk about the wife, i thought that the wife was amon =P). The text i'm reading isn't very clear, well it's about something of almost 4000 years ago so i guess they're making their best to find out. But hey it looks like amon-yan is a god, even if his jokes do make me facepalm everytime.
That's all for amon i'm looking forward to keep finding GBs names and fun facts 'bout them.
BTW amon is probably my favorite character or at least he's in the top 5

as expected Ban is clearly number 1. I dont really see why though, in my opinion he is to strong. He is smart, very knowledged, has the evil eye, is a genius when it comes to fighting, easily see through people and even got very cool sunglasses .... he is like the joker in a card-game ... much to powerfull -.-"

I like the GB duo, but I guess I'm partial to Ban . Dr Jackal's one of the cool guys in my book too .

Akabane. I like how he's always so calm and composed, yet never seems to have trouble killing off his enemies with style :D

I just like the kindest guy in the series and most pain too.

No one can compare to Akabane: sadistic, perverse, stylish, always smiling, incredibly skiled and just plain cool. Not many anime characters are as cool as him (in my very personal opinion, I'm not looking to start a debate). He just has it all ;D.

Agreed, he just has his own style of doing things, and is able to do whatever he likes without anyone being able to stop him ^^:

AKABANE FTW! his blood techniques are awesome in the anime. the creators did a really good job animating him \o/

I adore the dynamic between Kazuki/Juubei/Toshiki, so if I can pick 'Fuuga' as my choice then that's what I'd go for! Toshiki always has that 'kicked puppy' feel to him in the anime that really makes me feel for him, and I love seeing all three of them interact.

Ban is an obvious choice. I do complain cuz' the one I feel identified with is Yukihiko, who got grouped with a bunch of not so good characters.

Also, if this were Gamefaqs, the mokeys would be kickin' ass. (remember L-block beating everyone a few years ago)

Too bad the did not an arc in the anime that focuses on him and his past, as it is you reallly have to read the manga to get the anwers to everything, not that I care Imean the manga is awsome, but still it would have been nice to see it in the anime.

i love Akabane-sama! Sukidesu! but all of the characters, Ban, Ginji, Kazuki, Makubex... I love them all, thats why i love this anime. But I will admit, in my head there is a special place (and unique for anime characters) For Shido-niisan.

As much as I love the monkeys  :o  I had to pick Akabane.  He's one of the BEST villains in the history of anime or manga and definitely an inspiration to me with the villains I write!!

Okay, I have to admit, most of the cast of GB have found a way to slip into my books.  This is one of the most inspiring series I have ever been blessed enough to run across.  It's a go-to when I have writer's block.  I even sometimes  ::)  throw in the ancient DVD-Rs I have of the crap-tastic Hong Kong subs from maybe 9 or 10 years ago, before the nice DVDs came out.

Akabane of course, he is sooooo damn sexy and he is a sadist, i love him!!
