Getbackers Manga Scans

Some one was complaining about others characters not having a separate poll the other day since it's kinda unfair to club them with the 3 main guys. This is more unfair to the women in GB since this is a Shounen Series. So here you go. A separate poll for the GB Ladies. I could remember 11.. hope I didn't forget any.

You can vote for 3 choices! And also change your vote if you feel like it :) .. mainly made it this way so as not to get a repeat of the situation in the Main Poll.

My vote.. well even with 3 it's kinda hard to choose. I guess I'll go with Kaoru, Natsumi and Hevn.  ;)

I thought about including the Manga characters but this is the Anime section. :( I don't want people accusing me of giving out spoilers via Manga character names. See even you are worried about Manga characters you don't know. ;) Don't worry, Midori is from Episode 28 and Reiko is from Episode 27.

ARGH yes, I forgot about that. I mostly just saw a new thread and thought "LOL A GB THREAD GOTTA GO FANGIRL RANTING OVER THERE!!111one", instead of paying attention to just what section it was in. :-X Still wanted to vote for Maria though. *is a total Maria fangirl*

However, BECAUSE this is the anime section I'll give a vote to Hevn. I make no secret of me liking Hevn much more in the anime than in the manga. And no, it's NOT because she wears clothes that are actually bigger than a minimal hankerchief and doesn't get her boobs squeezed by Ban ever five seconds.
Unlike her manga counterpart, anime!Hevn actually had a personality. She was ladylike, mature, charismatic and could be badass when she wanted to. But manga!Hevn? Uhm... well, she explains stuff. And is fanservice incarnate. And... yeah, that's about it. She just doesn't have any personality traits. When I try to think of any adjectives and adverbs to describe her character, how she acts, it just stands still in my head. For all wonderful characters the Get Backers manga has... Hevn isn't exactly one of those, IMO. Ayamine and Aoki must esxcuse, but Studio Deen handled Hevn better than they did.

Two other girls whom I  cast my vote on are Clayman and Natsumi.
Clayman, I like her for being very calm and dignified, with a great insight on cultural treasures and art in general. PLus, she happens to be voiced by Ogata Megumi, one of my all-time favourite seiyuu, so when I heard her int he anime for the first time, I was all like "ZOMFG I'M SO GONNA LIKE THIS CHARACTER!!111one". XD
Natsumi is just adorable, cheerful and cute, and I loved "her" episode in which she dressed up like if she was Ban and Ginji's Mary Sue daughter. XD

I voted for Clayman because she seems so calm and I like the way she is portrayed, and voiced in eng dubs.

I also like that she is willing to go out of her way to preserve and fight for art.

no manga characters? .__.  oh, well. i voted for Hevn, Natsumi and Himiko.
 

Hevn is hot, beautiful and mysterious, Natsumi is very kind, dumb (in a good way) and cute. Manga version of Himiko is very cool. I'm not sure why i like her so much. She isn't so annoying in later chapters.

Oh yeah.. And the moment when she said "Did you have a nice dream" was one of my fav moments in the Anime.  ;D

And I hate Madoka so much, she's very annoying character.

I voted for Hevn, Natsumi, and Kaoru.

Hevn because for a normal she's still a little badass and smart-mouthed. The way she can manipulate those two - hilarious. Natsumi because she's sweet and kind and always has something positive to say to the guys. And Kaoru because I liked the idea of a woman lusting so heavily after/being so obsessively in love with the Lightning Emperor. Cuz I knew how she felt. The Lightning Emperor was SMEXY. Although if Ginji had felt any romantic feelings towards her I probably would have hated her.

Which is probably the reason I hate Himiko. I don't think Ban has romantic feelings for her but I don't like that they have such a close relationship and I really don't like the fact that in the ADV version of the anime (I don't know about the other version) when Ban and Ginji are rolling their car back to Shinjuku with the box they've gotten from the transporters and Ban starts to explain how he knows  Himiko and about the story with her older brother he says that he used to work with them and that they were "the best friends he's ever had". Uh, what's that make Ginji? Like I said pisses me off.

I like Modaka the best because she is much more mentally strong than most other female characters! Well, maybe with exception of Hevn...whom I would have voted for second! Not mention she is VERY normal whom can calmly handle any situation and understand of other eccentric characters...well, maybe with exception of Nastume...Err, she has mad skillz on her volin? ::)

Voted for Natsumi, wish Maria were an option. Love cheerful characters.

I voted for hevn.  I dont know some strange attraction that I cant explain.

I picked clayman...the others are just SO annoying. Their voices kill me. Clayman you seen in a few eps and then she's gone. Nicely done, lolz.

Hm, lets see I guess my three choices would have to be Hevn, Himiko and Natsumi. I liked all three of those characters.

It's Clayman for  me...She's intelligent and quite pretty as well!! Loves the art and soooo knowledgeable...

Hevn because she's a thorough professional and she's got big ones. Himiko because, well she can fight awesome. Sakura because i thought atleast one of the Makubex's group is a girl and even in Infinity Fortress she manages.

I finally got around to voting for my favorite gal!  Since I couldn't quite decide, I'm glad I could choose up to three.   ;)

I like Natsumi -- because she's sweet and yet able to keep the guys in order, and is a good reliable person to have around to help Paul, and the GB duo.

I also like Madoka because she plays the violin!  I play the viola myself, but violin is close enough.  Actually, I like the fact that Ban plays it as well, hehe!

Last but not least, I like Clayman, because she's just cool.

This is easy:

1)Eliminate all the girls who dress like desperate hookers.

2)Eliminate all the girls who are sweet & polite.

First of all, I like Himiko. She manages to be sexy without having gravity- and reality- defying assets that most of the women in GB seem to have.

Secondly, I think Natsumi is absolutely brilliant, and for some reason, I love her japanese voice in the anime version. I don't what it is about that seiyuu, but I like it!

my favorites are hevn, natsumi and madoka. i think shido have a very very good lucky having madoka.

I'd say Natsumi, simply love the character, followed by Himiko

Nope, hands down, Himiko is my favorite. She's bad-ass for a while, until the poor girl becomes our tragic damsel-in-distress in the "Lost Time Arc." I dunno, aside from Hevn's massive knockers, I'm a sucker for the petite tomboyish type. Only thing better is Yomiko Readman, but that's a whole different series.

Well Hevn is just hot, but that's it you know? Nothing else. My fav is Himiko.

First things first.
I would vote Maria if she were among the options.
My others favorite girls are Hevn(everybody knows the 2 big reasons for that),
then comes Himiko(everybody knows the 2 small reasons for that),
then Sakura(she's sexy)

Well generally female charaters are not very thoroughly developed in GB but I think Himiko has the most personality!

Well, my votes went to...

Natsumi: coz as lin put it so perfectly, she can handle any of the boys and is very level-headed. also she's cheerful and always manages to lighten the atmosphere... :)

Ren : you have to give it to the girl for being able to get back up and keep on living cheerfully after all that she went through. really endearing character and i also love the way in which she contributes to the comic relief along with Natsumi at the Honky Tonk. :)

Maria Noches : I thought that I have to be faithful to her as well as my feelings and therefore elect her for my third vote though technically speaking she is not there in the poll. very lovely character. hard to find a lady like her. also, I have a soft corner for all 'Maria's coz my lil sister's name is also maria. lol  ;D

Of course it'd be hevn. She's not only va-va-voom but also one heck of a kick ass gal XD. Clayman's underdeveloped but she's intriguing. XD

My ranking is definitely Himiko, Madoka, and then Natsumi.

The one thing I love alot about GB is that almost ALL the girls are no pushovers. Yeah, sometimes they play the damsel in distress, but for the most part they don't play your average female role.

So honestly, picking my top three was hard. XD

Good to see so many other Maria fans here! How can you not love someone who's always so bright and lively and adorable, then can turn around and kick ass even at the age of a hundred ninety-nine years old??

Well, I picked Natsumi first of all because she's adorable and funny, Madoka because she's just so sweet, and also because I like musicians (bit weird I know) and Clayman, because she's awesome.

I'll say Hevn is my favourite not because she has a great body but she's comedic and quite strong as well. It was especially fun at the beginning of the manga when she was captured and then at the end she appeared tied up and almost naked in front of GB and the police, now that was funny. ;D

Assuming Himiko's character is the same as in the manga (haven't finished the anime yet), definitely her. I started out hating her, feeling like she was constantly playing the damsel in distress towards Ban, but the more she showed up, the more she really started to stand on her own as a capable fighter. Now I actually really like her. xD

I chose Hevn, Himiko and Ren. Himiko is the best female warrior, Hevn is sometimes sly and Ren, because she isn't that girly xD

Hevn and Madoka. Hevn for some very obvious reasons, plus she's a pretty stronger character. Madoka because she's hot and talented, and her being blind just intensifies it.

Can I say...Kazuki? lol I really liked Sakura but she has such a minor role.... Probably like Natsumi the best. She's nice and supportive, who wouldn't like that!

she's so dashing and beautiful and cultured and awesome and I JUST LOVE HER A LOT OKAY?! i think she might be my favorite character, period.

it's just, i love that her image isn't 'cat burglar' like 99% of other women in similar roles, but more of a 'gentleman thief' and despite this she's still perfectly feminine. i love her hair. i love her eyes, and the soft look in them when poor drugged kaito finally meets his venus. i love how classy and elegant she is. i love her mild but firm manner. i love that she loves art. i love that she's preserving great artists' memories, and her mother's, too. i love that she wants to share the masterpieces with the world instead of keeping to herself.

i love that she believes in eternal beauty, and fights for it.

anyway. my next favorite girl is kazuki.
